Gas Motorsport produced a record breaking 2JZ powered Supra with a heavily modified engine containing Custom CP Pistons, Carillo Rods, Clevite Bearings, Ferrea titanium valve springs, Ferrea valves, Titan adjustable cam gears, custom camshafts, custom Gas Motorsports head, Weldon 1600 HP fuel pump, Hypertune intake manifold, Custom Gas Motorsport turbo manifold, custom exaust, M & W CDI Ignition systems, BMC air filter, Indy Blue Injectors, Haltech ECU, Garett GT55 turbo, GFB blow off valve, GFB wastegate, custom Gas Motorsport Intercooler, GFB boost controller, modified oil pump. 

The engine consistently produced over 1400HP at the wheels, protected by Motul 6100 Synergie. Earlier this year, a gudgeon pin let go while competing and the team pulled down the engine to inspect. Here is the video. 







       

Winternationals

The Winternationals held at Willowbank Raceway is the largest drag racing meet outside of the US. 

We spent a day with Sydney based team Gas Motorsport and their 2000HP Celica.

V8 Supercars

In the Australian V8 Supercar Series, Link International Automotive Division are proud to supply BMC Air Filters to a number of teams, including Triple Eight Race Engineering (TeamVodafone), Toll Holden Racing Team, Jim Beam Racing, Walkinshaw Racing, Team BOC and Stone Brothers Racing. 










Super GT
  
The Motul Autech GTR is a dominant force in the Japan Super GT. Previously known as the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC), Super GT is the premiere racing category in Japan with two categories of racing, GT300 and GT500. The GT500 GTR built by Nismo has a completely different drivetrain to the road driven GTR. The race car has a 4.5 litre naturally-aspirated V8 with 6 speed sequential manual gearbox and RWD.







Drifting

Locally, Motul, Nismo and BMC Air Filter are represented in Australian Drift Competition covering Drift Australia, Supercheap Auto Drift Series and Stadium Drift. Link Automotive are proud to support Team Motul-Nismo driver Rob Whyte in his Supercharged Nissan 350Z. 









Formula 1

Internationally, since 1996 BMC Air Filter have equipped some of the most important teams in F1, including Ferrari, Toyota, BMW Williams, Prost, Sauber, Minardi, Porsche and Audi. 









Drag Racing

Hailing from Sydney, Toyota 2JZ experts Gas Motorsports use Motul lubricants in all their performance and race cars. The Gas Motorsport Celica has dominated Sports Compact Drag Racing , winning the National Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and smashed the Australian Record no less than 9 times with the fastest time set at WSID 6.52 @ 217mph. Their 2JZ powered Supra set a new national record producing 1403.5 RWHP.
