It proved to be the simplest of ways to get an extra 10 or so horsepower out of the engine and made the car much more responsive. As you can imagine, with our street registered WRX consistently pulling 10’s down the quarter mile at over 140mph, we take the maintenance of our engine very seriously. We need an oil capable of keeping our engine in tip-top condition, even when it’s under considerable strain. During the heat of battle, my little Sprinter sometimes gets punished harder than I ever intended. Its not my fault, my only option is to win and I will push as hard as I have to. In such a highly contested event, Driveline failure could cost a championship. With this in mind, it would be madness to use anything less than the best.
When I’m sliding left to right with the turbocharged 20 valve bouncing off the rev-limiter, 300V CHRONO is what eases the pain and holds it all together. When I’m smashing between gears doing third and fourth gear drifts, the massive shock-loads of ruthless lightning fast gear changes are cooled and cushioned by GEAR COMPETITION to stop my poor gearbox from going “crack”.

With our little Toyota six-cylinder cranking out a mighty 2041HP, you can imagine how important it is to us that only the best motor oil is used to lubricate and protect our 2J’s highly stressed engine components.
Upon undressing our engine for it’s scheduled re-build, we were met with a sight that is hard to believe. Every engine component inspected appeared to be as happy and healthy as the day they were installed. After 70+ passes and three national records running straight Methanol, one would truly expect to replace a majority of the engine’s major components. Not after running Motul. Once we recovered from our gob-smacked disbelief we simply bolted her back together with a determination to push the limits even harder...Confidently.
After decades of experience in pro-drag racing, I can truly say that I believe Motul 6100 Synergie is the best motor oil for this application. It has undoubtedly saved us tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary engine damage.
