Winternationals with Gas Motorsport
The Winternationals held at Queensland Raceway is the largest drag racing meet outside of the US, bringing together Top Fuel, Top Alcohol, Top Doorslammer, Pro Stock, Top Bike, Pro Stock Bike and Pro FX.
Sydney based team Gas Motorsport is a class leader in the Pro FX class with their Toyota Celica producing over 2000HP with their highly tuned 2JZ, 6 cylinder turbocharged engines. The team run Motul 6100 Synergie in their methanol fuelled engines, which consistently impresses the team mechanics with the level of protection and lubrication that it provides in these highly tuned motors.
The team invited us to join them at Winternationals and getting to spend time with the crew from Gas is a real treat for any motorsport fan. Even though they are busy preparing the cars for competition, they take the time to show us through the setup and the vehicle preparation. The best bit was they even supplied a team shirt so we could join them out on track and get some great photos!
Gas Motorsport will be returning to Queensland for the Sport Compact Jamboree held at Willowbank Raceway on the 21st and 22nd of August 2010.
