Early Sunday morning on January 24th 2010, the Motul Nismo BMC R34 GT-R and GT-T rolled out to join the Boostcruising Nissan Run. With over 100 Nissan sports cars congregating to travel the 400km drive that travelled through Landsborough, Malaney, Kilcoy, Somerset Dam, Mt Glorious and Samford it was an impressive sight coupled with the rumble of RB, SR and CA engines.
Winding through the hills, the group stopped for lunch at Somerset Dam creating quite a spectacle with a travelling car show appearing as the water-skiers on the dam stoped to check out the action.
Heading back towards home, a favourite run of many Brisbane car enthusiasts over Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious provided spectacular scenery and even better driving.
One of the incredible scenes driven through after leaving Somerset Dam was a fire that was encroaching on the road and this was caught by the on-board camera on the R34 GT-T and can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BLfNzH3GUg
With an impressive display of show cars to daily drivers, there was plenty to see, with the Nismo1 GT-R a star attraction at the Somerset meet.
The cruise was organised by members of the Boostcruising car forum, where Link International advertise Motul, Nismo and BMC Air Filter and provide support and assistance to other car enthusiasts as well as taking part in regular events.
